DECEMBER GOALS

December Goals_ Christmas Wreath

Happy Christmas Month! Finally, December has arrived and the Christmas festivities can begin, including my lookfantastic beauty advent calendar, Christmas movies on Netflix and of course hot chocolate. I love this time of the year and I am looking forward to all things Christmas. It’s set to be a good month, so let me fill you in on what I have got going on!

  • Put the final Christmas decorations around the house. I know that I had stated on my November Goals post that I was planning to decorate the house as early as last month. However, that didn’t happen and although I have decorated with all the new bits and bobs I bought this year, I haven’t got out our old Christmas decorations box and complete the Christmas home decorations. To my defense, November has been my most busy work wise month of lately and I really had no time at all or the energy to wrap up the Christmas home decorations. But, I have set a deadline, December 5th, to wrap up all the details that need some extra attention.
  • Prep for my 35th birthday. My birthday is on January 2nd, which is an absolutely terrible date for a birthday. Celebrating my birthday the day after New Year’s Day, means that I have to make some preparations early in December. I will celebrate my 35th birthday – how I am going to be 35 in less than a month is mind-blowing – with my family and fiance in my family’s house. Currently, I am in the hunt for the birthday cake design of my dreams and replying to requests of what my loved ones should get me for my birthday. I know life is hard! I plan a few days before my birthday to take my mom out for afternoon tea and still trying to make some special plans.
  • Take a break. I think one of the reasons I love Christmas so much is because I will actually get time off. I feel lately that no matter what I do or where I am, I am always working. Christmas will give me a proper break, to sit back and do nothing for a change. Bliss!
  • Brainstorming new travel destinations for next year. I’m starting to brainstorm travel destinations for the coming year, which is always exciting! I know it’s going to be somewhere in Europe, but still, no certain plans are made. The only trip I want 100% to make it happen till spring, is in Crete, to visit one of my best friends from college. Of course, as many visits as possible, back home don’t count as traveling because they are simply a necessity for me!
